It was first seen at 8:43 pm PDT from Russian Ridge Open Space Preserve just west of Los Altos CA. The moon was first seen at a Magnetic Azimuth of 280 degrees. It was about 5 or 6 fingers above the horizon. The upper limb was at 3 o'clock and the lower limb at 6 o'clock.
